Orione Care was formally inaugurated on 5 January 2026 by Mr. Anony George, Chief Executive Officer of Ammas Pastries, along with his wife Mrs. Vineetha at Maria sadan, Bangalore. The inauguration marked an important milestone in Orione Seva’s mission to promote sustainability, inclusion, and dignified livelihood opportunities for persons with special needs.
The shop and work unit were blessed by Fr. Avinash, invoking God’s guidance and grace upon the initiative. The programme was animated and coordinated by the Delegate Superior who served as the animator and was responsible for the overall conduct of the event. Fr. Chinnappa was also helping from the back-screen. He was doing the necessary arrangements for the event. The occasion was graced by the presence of Dayaniketan students, teachers, staff, collaborators, OLM members, guests, and other invited dignitaries, whose participation reflected strong community support for the initiative.
Orione Seva: From Care to Capability, From Dependency to Dignity
At Orione Seva, our mission is simple yet powerful: to transform lives through compassion, inclusion, and sustainable livelihood. Rooted in the values of care, dignity, and service, we work to ensure that children and young adults with special needs are not left behind—but are empowered to become confident, contributing members of society.
Every individual deserves acceptance, opportunity, and respect. At Orione Seva, we follow a carefully designed inclusive livelihood pathway that supports each person step by step:
1. Acceptance & Care: We begin with unconditional acceptance. Our environment is built on love, understanding, and emotional security—ensuring every child feels valued and safe.
2. Therapy & Basic Skills Development: Through structured therapy and life-skill training, individuals gain essential abilities that help them grow in confidence and independence.
3. Vocational Training: We offer hands-on vocational programs such as plant care, nursery management, and sustainable product development. These activities not only build practical skills but also nurture responsibility and creativity.
4. Supported Work Practice: Trainees gradually transition into real-world work under guidance and mentorship, helping them adapt to professional routines at their own pace.
5. Shop-Based Employment (Orione Care Unit): Through shift-based work in our care units and shops, individuals gain direct employment experience—earning through meaningful work.
6. Earning, Self-Respect & Social Contribution: Employment brings more than income—it builds confidence, self-worth, and dignity. Our beneficiaries become contributors to their families and society, breaking cycles of dependency.
Why Orione Care Matters?
In a world where people with special needs often face isolation and limited opportunities, Orione Seva stands as a beacon of hope. We believe that ability matters more than disability. By combining care with skill development and livelihood opportunities, we create lasting change—not charity alone, but empowerment.
Under the Orione Care initiative, we promote environmentally responsible practices and inclusive employment. Every product, every service, and every training program reflects our commitment to building a compassionate, sustainable future.
