The festival of Sankranti, a celebration of harvest, gratitude, and togetherness, was meaningfully observed through a Sankranti Feast organized by St. Ann’s School, Gauribidanur. The event beautifully reflected the true spirit of the festival—sharing, generosity, and compassion toward those in need.
The program was graced by the presence of Fr. Raju, along with the staff of Dayaniketan Day Care Centre for the specially challenged students at Chadanadur, Gauribidanur—Mr. Gangadarappa, Mr. Narsappa, and Ms. Anjamma. Their participation added depth and purpose to the celebration, reminding everyone of the importance of inclusion and care for the vulnerable.
Students, teachers, and staff of St. Ann’s School came together in a spirit of unity, serving food and celebrating Sankranti with joy and fellowship. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and gratitude, truly expressing the festival’s message of thankfulness, harmony, and sharing.
As part of the program, arm-giving (donation of essential materials) was offered to the Dayaniketan Day Care Centre, extending practical support to the specially challenged students and strengthening the bond of compassion between the institutions.
Orione Seva expresses sincere thanks to St. Ann’s School, Gauribidanur, for their generosity, kindness, and thoughtful gesture toward the needy. This celebration stood as a powerful example of how festivals can become moments of service, dignity, and human solidarity.
May the spirit of Sankranti continue to inspire us to share, care, and walk together in compassion.
