Success of the Medical Camp at Don Orione Tuition Center and Its Impact on Student Health

The medical camp was made possible by a committed team of one doctor, two religous nuns, and six nurses. Their dedication was evident as they engaged with students, offering:

• Thorough medical examinations

• Guidance on personal hygiene

• Advice on healthy habits

🩺 Health Check-Ups and Nutrition Support

A total of 26 students from classes 4 to 8 received comprehensive health assessments, including vital signs like heart rate and blood pressure.

Additionally, each student received:

• ORS (Oral Rehydration Solution) juice powder

• Vitamin tablets

Proper nutrition is key to strong immune systems and better academic performance. This initiative helps reduce micronutrient deficiencies among students.

💊 Follow-Up Care and Health Education

Students needing further care were provided with prescriptions and follow-up check-ups, ensuring personalized attention.

The camp also emphasized health education, teaching:

• Daily personal hygiene practices

• Healthy lifestyle choices

One student expressed relief knowing a mild respiratory issue could be effectively managed with the right treatment plan.

The camp saw active participation from:

• Nine children from Dhayanikethan

• Six staff members from Don Orione Tuition Center

• Ten members from the Thayiproject
